On Friday (08/07/2026), the program SIGAP’s team held a farewell gathering marking the closing of the SIGAP community service program, which had run for the past three weeks. Residents attended the event with great enthusiasm, including men, women, and members of the local youth organization. The event opened with remarks from Dr. Rezi Delfianti, M.T., as the mentor. The team leader, 'Akiqotus Syahriyah, then presented the program's achievements from its implementation in Tanjangawan Village, Ujungpangkah, Gresik, East Java.
The SIGAP program carried out a range of training activities focused on crab farming, including the installation of a Vertical Crab House system integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology and a solar photovoltaic system, as well as training sessions on cultivation techniques, feed formulation, and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the IoT and solar photovoltaic systems. 'Akiqotus Syahriyah reported that crabs raised in the Vertical Crab House achieved a survival rate of 77.2% over a 14-day cultivation period. According to Pak Sukaeri as a local crab farmers, this increase reflects a meaningful improvement in crab survival. He also expressed hope that through this program, local farmers would be able to boost the local economy through higher sales value for farmed crabs.

In addition to the main program, SIGAP’s team also took part in local community activities, including the Local Food-Based Supplementary Feeding Program and an islamic memorial prayer gathering. At the close of the event, the team conducted a satisfaction and self-competency evaluation survey among residents using a post-test questionnaire to measure the program's outcomes. The results showed that 84.4% of residents expressed satisfaction with the SIGAP program, with many stating that the technology was worth replicating. Some residents, however, noted that the capital required to replicate the technology remained out of reach for the Tanjangawan community, highlighting the need for further financial support.
At the end of the event, the implementation team formally handed over the Berita Acara Serah Terima (BAST) or Official Handover Report for the IoT and solar photovoltaic-integrated Vertical Crab House to a representative of the residents, alongside the mentor’s program. To close the event, residents were given the opportunity to share their impressions and feedback on the SIGAP program. "We hope this SIGAP program can become a technology that supports the residents of Tanjangawan in modern and improved crab farming," said Pak Anang. Before departing, the team treated residents to tumpeng, a traditional cone-shaped yellow rice dish, as a farewell gesture. Residents enjoyed the event with enthusiasm and active engagement throughout.
